Bio

Pellichero has been a drone pilot since the age of 12. Thanks to his father's influence, he started building model aircraft as a child and learned how to fly aeroplanes. And then someone showed him a drone, and he was allowed to try it out. "I was like a kid discovering a new toy," he remembers. Requesting one for his next birthday, he received one as a gift. The rest is history.

Pellichero enjoyed trying to go as fast as possible, and already equipped with the skills he had picked up flying other model aircraft, he understood how to build his speed without taking risks.

How did he get into competition? "A French pilot who ran a store told my father that I flew well, and encouraged me to compete." Initially he was not too enthused, but he went along to his first competition in France, where the national and world champions were also competing. Managing to get through the qualifications, he ended up in the final! As a novice, he only had one drone and due to a previous accident, his drone had a broken arm. "I fixed it with an ice cream stick and glue!" he laughs, "I went to the final with this craziest drone and I managed to win the final and my first competition, that's where it all started."

Since that memorable day, Pellichero has participated in numerous competitions including the Belgian championships, and has won six championships. He has competed in FAI World Drone Racing Championships and also The World Games in 2022, when drone racing made its debut in the event, taking 14th place. "This passion allows me to travel to various countries and meet ever more impressive pilots," he says.

Other activities

Pellichero works as a police inspector. He hopes one day to be able to integrate my passion into his daily job and use drones professionally.
