Days 5-6 at the 47th CISM World Military Parachuting Championship
The Shamal wind returned yesterday amd today in Doha, bringing strong, gusty conditions that emptied the dropzone at the 47th CISM World Military Parachuting Championship.
A couple of Formation Skydiving loads managed to take off early in the morning on Wednesday, but rising winds forced organisers to stop all activity shortly afterwards. With safety as the priority, all competitors were released for the day.
With no further jumps possible, teams are taking the opportunity to rest, recover, or explore the city while waiting for conditions to improve.
Further updates will follow tomorrow.
