The Aero Club of India welcomes the FAI Ballooning Commission Plenary
The Aero Club of India is hosting the FAI Ballooning Commission (CIA) Plenary and Sub-Committee (SC) meetings in New Delhi from 12-15 March 2025. This is the first time the CIA has held a meeting in India, and attendees have already been enjoying meeting people and visiting the sites of this very fascinating country.

The Hotel Taj Mahal in New Delhi is the location for the CIA meetings. The CIA Sub-Committees will meet on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 March, with the CIA Plenary meeting commencing on Friday 14th in the morning and conclude on Saturday 15 in the afternoon. Between meetings, coffee and meal breaks will allow for social time and informal discussions among delegates and Sub-Committee members.

invitations to Aero Club of India “Wings of Future” Event
On Monday 10 March, CIA President Mark Sullivan (USA), and CIA Secretary, Sanne Haarhuis (NED), were invited as honoured guests to an event announcing a joint venture between the Aero Club of India and Sakthi Aircraft Industry.
Sakthi, a private company, is to manufacture 150 trainer aircraft for the Aero Club of India. This venture is part of the “Wings of Future” program developed by the Aero Club of India, with a goal to expand the pilot flight training schools in India.

With many CIA attendees making their first trip to India, they are taking the opportunity to visit the sites and culture of the area. This has included Agra and the magnificent Taj Mahal.
